For the month of September, Ahwatukee businesses have come together, working as Yes To Pets, to help restock the pet food bank of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue in Tempe.
Individuals can donate pet food, toys and blankets at participating locations such as Mountainside Martial Arts Center, Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business and Print Smart. To find a location, visit www.YesToPets.org.
On Sept. 30, all donations will be delivered to Mountainside Martial Arts Center. Then on Oct. 1, Rick Savagian, owner of Mountainside Martial Arts, will hold a self-defense class for the Women in Business members who participated in the donation drive. The class will take place at 3173 E. Chandler Blvd.
