OPINION — I’d like to respond to the recent letter by Tom Slade.
Republicans in Congress use convincing words like save, beautiful and citizens to make their bills sound positive, when those words are really a type of propaganda. The SAVE Act is a voter suppression bill.
Mr. Slade makes several claims. First, he cites the Biden years as the time millions of illegal migrants walked over the border. This is not provable. Second, he claims these people came here to vote in our elections. There is no proof that this has ever happened.
