SAVE Act a partisan tool designed to undermine elections

OPINION — Tom Slade’s claim that mail-in voting is insecure ignores the fact that an overwhelming majority of Arizona voters trust and successfully use this method.

Furthermore, Slade’s foundational attack on immigrants relies on the baseless implication that non-citizens voted in large numbers in 2020 and 2024. Evidence from every state has disproved this allegation. Non-citizen voting is statistically next to zero.

Consequently, the SAVE Act is unnecessary for its stated purpose. While Slade argues the Act won't disenfranchise qualified citizens, he overlooks the “paper wall” facing older Americans.
