San Tan Valley council approves salaries for future members

With San Tan Valley residents going to the polls tomorrow to vote for the town’s first elected council, the sitting councilors have approved annual compensation for future mayors, vice mayors and council members.

The council vote 5-1 during its July 15 meeting to approve a salary of $45,000 for the mayor, $35,000 for the vice mayor and $30,000 for council members. Vice Mayor Tyler Hudgins voted against the motion. Council Member Bryan Hunt was absent.
