Sally Shaffer has been appointed general manager at the new 237-room Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson, which is scheduled to open this October.
Shaffer will lead the strategic operations of the hotel, according to a press release.
Found at the northwest corner of Loop 101 and Hayden Road, Hilton North Scottsdale is owned by Nationwide Realty Investors and managed by Columbus Hospitality Management, the release states.
“Sally is a proven leader in sales, human resources and operations, and we cannot wait to put her valuable experience to work at the Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson,” said Kathyrn Burton, COO of Columbus Hospitality Management, in a prepared statement.
“With travel coming back in a tremendous way this year, Sally’s more than 40 years of customer-driven experience will be an asset to the hotel at a time when all eyes are on Arizona hospitality.”
Prior to joining Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson, Shaffer spent nine years as a general manager for Hilton in the Phoenix and Scottsdale markets. Today, she serves on the Tourism Development Council for Scottsdale.
“I’ve developed my career in hospitality from housekeeping all the way up to general manager, which has given me a holistic understanding of how a hotel operates efficiently, as well as the utmost respect for all team members involved to deliver a quality customer experience,” said Shaffer. “I am ecstatic to join the Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson team and leverage my hospitality expertise to deliver an unparalleled resort hotel experience worthy of the North Scottsdale community.”
Shaffer joins the Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson team alongside the hotel’s new Director of Sales, Susan Baer. Both Scottsdale hospitality veterans will work together to prepare the hotel for overnight guestroom, meeting and event business, as well as food and beverage service this fall.
The state-of-the-art, full-service Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson will feature six-stories of guest rooms, a resort-style swimming pool, trendy dining with views of the stunning McDowell Mountains, and a 15,000-square-foot event center.
