Frauds and scams continue to claim victims in Sun City and Sun City West, and local officials are working to make sure they are more protected.
The Fraud & Safety Summit, an annual event highlighting education and services available to help seniors avoid scams, will run 9 a.m.- noon Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, Stutsman, and event coordinator Joan Campbell will share information on how to avoid falling victim to a scam, how to report it and things homeowners can do to remain safe.
