Sadie E. ReganSun City West resident Sadie E. Regan died Oct. 21, 2007.She was born in Missoula, Mont., to Albert and Merle Armistead and grew up in Everett, Wash., where she attended school and graduated from Everett High School with her class of 1934 ½. She also attended Everett Business College.She met and married Eugene "Gene" Regan in 1946 at Marysville, Wash. Her loving husband of 59 years preceded her in death April 20, 2005. They lived in Bellingham and Olympia, Wash., when Gene's career as an educator took them to Europe for five years with the Department of Defense Overseas Dependent Schools. They lived in Madrid, Spain, and Germany, and later to the headquarters of the Pacific Area in Honolulu.After Mr. Regan's retirement as superintendent of the Mead School District in Spokane, they left Washington state and Sun City West became their permanent home.Ms. Regan is survived by a sister, Glenna Johnson of Marysville, and many devoted nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Armistead of Everett and Gene Armistead of Edmunds and Everett; two sisters, Mabel D. Van Patten and Anita "Babe" Caseri, both of Eberett.Services will be conducted in Washington at a later date. Interment will be with Mr. Regan at the National Memorial Cemetery of Phoenix.Donations may be made to Hospice of Arizona.
