It appears there will be a performing arts center in Sun City, but what that will look like — and where — is still an open question.
The Recreation Centers of Sun City Strategic Alternatives Committee discussed attributes of three other standalone theaters in age-restricted communities during its June 23 meeting. Additional discussion centered on modifications to the proposed performing arts center that is part of the planned rebuild at Mountain View Center, 9749 N. 107th Ave.
The RCSC board suspended action on the Mountain View project earlier this year and formed the SAC to mull over alternatives to the existing plan.
