SUN CITY, AZ. - Ruth Margaret (Schlitzer) May, of Sun City, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011. She died suddenly of natural causes at her home in Royal Oaks Life Care, Sun City, Arizona. Ruth was the mother of ten, a navy wife, a fine artist, traveler, gadabout, and most recently amusing herself by playing pool and Mahjong. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Carol May. She is survived by her husband, Robert Edward May, Cdr USN Ret., nine children, Robert Edward May Jr., William Raymond May, Joanne Margaret May Mell, Ruth Anne May Hoffman (Schuyler IV), Eileen Kathryn May (Buddhist Tenzin Drolkar), Cynthia Marie May Ponath (Karl), James Walter May (Sugene), Donald Frederick May (Connie), and John Henry May (Chris); 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren, living everywhere around this great country. There is no replacement for this active and multi-faceted person. Mom was 87 years and ten children old, she never lost her enthusiasm for living, and she gave so many the gift of life. Gathering in church reception hall following service. Ruth will be inurned in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
