Ruth M. Lord

Ruth M. Lord, November 15, 1918 to December 30, 2017.Ruth M. Lord, daughter of Michael and Angelina Spica, passed away. She was born in the Bronx, NY.She lived the first part of her life in the New York area and most of the second part in Phoenix and Sun City, Arizona.Ruth received a degree in Biology from Hunter College in New York in 1933. She worked as a medical technician and she cherished her time as a mother and homemaker. She was a wonderful mother who gave everything to her children. She touched the lives of countless people with her kindness and cheerful spirit.As a young woman, she attended Marble Collegiate Church in New York City where she met her husband William J. Lord, whom she survived. They were together for 59 years.In her retirement years, she was an active member of Unity of Surprise Church in Sun City West, AZ. Ruth is survived by her two sons, William M. Lord and daughter-in-law Pam Lord of Springfield, MI and Thomas H. Lord of Phoenix, AZ. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Unity of Surprise Church, located at 14495 West R. H. Johnson Blvd, Sun City West, AZ 85375.
