Ruth Coen

Ruth Coen, 81Ruth Coen, 81, of Apache Junction, died June 21, 2007 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born Annette Ruth Kingery on September 30, 1925, in Neoga Township to Theodore and Mary Kingery, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her wide-ranging family. She married William Dixon "Bill" Coen on July 3, 1946, and they lived for many years in Neoga, Ill. where they raised seven children. After retirement, they lived in Prescott, Ariz. and Effingham, Ill., before moving to Apache Junction. She had a life-long love of gardening and flowering plants, especially roses, iris and geraniums. She was an excellent cook and there was always room for one more around her table.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; her brother, Lloyd Kingery; granddaughter, Carolyn; and great granddaughter, Mary.She is survived by sons, Doug (Janet) Coen of Mesa, Dan (Janet) Coen of Golconda, Ill., Tim Coen and Jim Coen of Mesa, and Michael Coen of Rockaway Beach, Mo.; daughters, Kathleen (Bruce) Wright of Vandalia, Ill., Tracy (Dave) Stuart of Altamont, Ill; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Gilbert Kingery of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel and Crematory handled arrangements.
