Russell T. Warnstedt, of Surprise AZ passed away at the age of 82 on April 6, 2023. Russell was the beloved husband of the late Carol L. Doerner, loving father to Kristen (John) Schmitt, and Susan (Steven) Wigner; dear grandfather to Michael Schmitt and Jamie and Melanie Wigner.
After serving in the US Army for two years, Russell worked as produce manager for Jewel Food Stores. He retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co., after 42 years as a maintenance worker. In addition to being an avid bowler, Russell enjoyed being president of the AZ Chevelle Club for several years, after moving to Surprise AZ from Elk Grove Village, IL. He loved attending various car shows throughout the state of AZ, and was very proud that he had owned many muscle cars over the years! Russell will be remembered for his sense of humor and friendly nature.
Russell will be laid to rest at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine IL.
