Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty procures overseas buyer for iconic Butterfly home

Inspired from beautiful butterflies in motion, this home is considered one of the finest architectural custom homes in the Valley
Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty announces the home known as the Arizona Butterfly Residence has sold for $3.3 million, making it the fifth highest sale ever recorded in Fountain Hills.
Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Agents Frank Aazami and David Arustamian of Private Client Group represented the seller of the iconic Butterfly property. The buyer was procured from China through Sotheby’s International Realty’s broad reach and was represented by Lichi Investment, LLC.
The home, which is nestled atop the breathtaking hilltop gated community of Crestview in Fountain Hills is widely considered one of the finest architectural custom homes in the Valley. Inspired from beautiful butterflies in motion, the home blends organic shapes in the style of Gaudi and grandeur of French Rococo while incorporating a bit of Southwestern flair.
“This home was built to capture views of the McDowell’s, Camelback Mountain, Eagle Ridge, San Tan, Superstitions and Downtown Phoenix City Lights,” said listing agent Frank Aazami of Private Client Group at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. “This gorgeous home provides the perfect balance of grand formal entertaining spaces with cozy and comfortable everyday living and we know the new owner will appreciate all its grandeur.”
The home, which previously had been listed with three outside real estate agents and brokerages had been on the market since 2007 until Sotheby’s International Realty united the home with its overseas buyer.
The $3.3 million closing makes it the highest priced residence to sell in almost a decade and the fifth highest sale ever in Fountain Hills.
Aazami’s Private Client Group previously sold the neighboring home for $3,550,000 in 2009.
