Ruby M. Speer

SUN CITY - Ruby M. Speer was born Jan. 24, 1925. She entered into eternal rest at her home on Sunday morning, Oct. 23, 2016. Ruby was born in Inglewood, Calif. and later in life moved to the Sun City area. She retired from Luke Air Force Base where she enjoyed working with the fighter pilots as a clerk. She enjoyed playing golf with her first husband, Dean and then later in life her second husband, Howard Speer. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Deena Beth Homesley and her husband Donald Homesley; two grandchildren, Sheila and Lee; and four great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Dean, Sayles, and Deckert. She is also survived by four step-sons, John, Jeff, Greg and Steve Speer. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, 11 a.m. at the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, 11025 N. 111th Ave. Sun City, AZ. 85351.
