Royer leads Cave Creek mayor’s race

Current Vice Mayor Kathryn Royer has the early lead in the race for the next mayor of Cave Creek, as Maricopa County released initial vote tallies early Wednesday morning.

Royer leads the vote count with 1,077 votes and Brian Hardy trails with 725 votes.

The winner will be replacing Robert Morris, who decided in January not to seek re-election.
