PHOENIX – Drivers should expect detours this weekend when State Route 143 closes between Interstate 10 and Loop 202, state transportation officials said.
The closure will begin from 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, to 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17. At the same time, the I-10 ramps to northbound SR 143 will be closed.
In addition, the following will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to Monday morning:
Westbound I-10 detour: Use westbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 to reach southbound SR 143.
Eastbound I-10 detour: Use eastbound I-10 to eastbound US 60 to northbound Loop 101 to westbound Loop 202 to access southbound SR 143.
Drivers traveling on southbound I-17, westbound I-10 and westbound US 60 who are heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport should use westbound I-10 to access the airport entrances at 24th Street or Buckeye Road, or use the Sky Harbor Boulevard entrance from Loop 202.
