With summer nearing and seasonal closures lifted, visitors to Lake Pleasant Regional Park can once again venture into areas that each winter belong largely to one of Arizona’s most iconic residents: the bald eagle.
For months, portions of the lake are closed to protect nesting birds during breeding season. Usually, those restrictions remain in place through June 15. This year, however, the Arizona Game and Fish Department lifted closures in late April after protected nesting efforts failed early.
