Ross E. Tripp, 83Ross E. Tripp, "The Old Tripper," 83, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2007.He was born in Colo, Iowa to Lyle E. and Esther C. (Lehman) Tripp and was raised in the Plano, Ill. area. He previously lived in Apache Junction.The Old Tripper lived his life to the fullest and will be remembered and missed greatly by those who loved him and by the lives he touched with his compassion, friendship, generosity, great enthusiasm, inner strength, jokes, stories and thoughtfulness. The Old Tripper served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and then later, for two additional years, served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked 34 years as a conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad in Aurora, Ill. He is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta J. Tripp; both parents; three brothers, Lyle, Elmer, Carl Tripp; three sons, Dennis Tripp, Raymond Klingel and Richard Klingel.He is survived by his loving children, Earl Klingel of Florida, Kenneth Tripp of Illinois, Mary Louise (Don) Wilson of Illinois, Susan (Harold) Albright of Kentucky, (Carolyn) Klingel of Massachusetts, Lyle Tripp of Florida, Russell (Mary) Tripp of Illinois, Phyllis (Michael) Worley of Arizona; three sisters, Charlotte Winkler, Ida (Slim) Hanson, and Norma (Buzz) Melges all of Illinois; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
