Rose Fire 20% contained, seven homes, 15 structures destroyed near Wickenburg

Evacuation statuses were lifted for impacted residents of the Rose Fire where about 170 acres burned near Wickenburg as of Friday afternoon.

Seven primary houses and 15 additional structures were destroyed in a wildfire that was 20% contained as of Friday afternoon, officials said.

Portions of U.S. 60 were reopened in both directions despite gas and electricity remaining off to the south side of the blaze, near the Hassayampa River, according to the Wickenburg’s Police Department’s Facebook page.
