Rosalia/Rodie T. Wright passed away Sept. 7, 2023, in Sun City, AZ at her apartment at the Gardens of Sun City Assisted Living. She was 98 years old. She was born on December 22, 1924, in Buffalo, NY to Anthony & Josephine Trifiro, the oldest of 5 children. She married I.C./Bud Wright on April 10, 1948, and had two children, Robert/Bob (Suzanne) Wright of Leesburg, VA & Norma "Dusty" (Roger) MacDougall of Durango, CO. She was a bookkeeper & secretary by profession in the Syracuse, NY area until retiring in 1983 and moving to AZ. There she was able to enjoy her love of dancing by being involved with the Sun City Poms for 10 years. She was always active with whatever Catholic church she belonged to and in Sun City belonged to the St. Clement's Ladies Guild. She was active with the Olive Branch Senior Center for many years and always enjoyed volunteering for charitable organizations. She led an active life until the last year or so when her health started declining. She is preceded in death by her husband Bud in 1990 & her son Bob in 2022, as well as her siblings Phillip, Matty & Tannie. She is survived by her daughter Dusty, sister Jo, daughter-in-law Suzanne, grandchildren Mathew Wright & Francesca Wildman, and four beautiful great-grandchildren, William, Aramea, Anthony & Oliver. She always had a lot of spunk & kept those around her on their toes! She was a caring mom, smart & thrifty throughout her life, and was a great baker & seamstress, She will be missed but is resting peacefully now. She will surely be in charge of something in heaven! A mass will be celebrated at St Clement's Church in 15800 Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ 85351, Thursday, September 28, 2023, 10am with a burial to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
