Rooks named Peoria Unified board president

Newcomer Tobey chosen for clerk role

When the Peoria Unified School District governing board voted Heather Rooks president at their Dec.9 public meeting, the room of supporters cheered her selection.

Rooks thanked the public, parents, staff, administration and Superintendent KC Somers.
