Ronald R. Miller

Ronald R. Miller, 80, of Florence, AZ passed from this world on Friday, February 4th after a long illness. Born in Sioux City, Iowa on November 20, 1941, to parents William French Miller and Luella Fern (Naeve) Miller, Ron attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Central High School in 1960. He went on to serve his country in the Army while stationed in Landstuhl, West Germany. Ron had many diverse and interesting jobs over the years, from managing a Chesterman Co warehouse in Aurelia, Iowa, to coal mining near Glenwood Springs, CO to what would become a fulfilling 40 years as owner/operator of a painting business in the Seattle area before retiring to Arizona. In his leisure time, Ron enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, playing Cribbage and above all laughing with friends and family. Ron is survived by his daughter Teresa (James) Williams of Liberty Township, OH and son Brian (Leisa) Miller, of Dakota Dunes, SD. He is also survived by brothers Robert, Harold, Donald and Doug and sisters Robinette and Geneva along with 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gerald, Warren and Forrest as well as a sister, Sally. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
