Ronald O. Bartlett PHOENIX - Ronald O. Bartlett passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010. He was born in Boston, Mass., on May 6, 1940. After graduating in 1958 from Wellesley High School, Wellesley, Mass., he enlisted in the United States Army. He successfully completed a course in neuropsychiatric procedures and was promoted to Medic Specialist First Class in 1959. Following his service, he went on to graduate from the University of Oklahoma in 1964 with a degree in economics. While attending college, he enjoyed working nights as a disc jockey at a local radio station. He later relocated to Denver, Colo., where he was employed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1998 and retired from HUD in 2005. He was a founding member of the Gold Canyon Lion's Club and also a member of the Payson Humane Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester F. Bartlett and Mary A. (Walsh) Bartlett; and a grandson, Joshua Johnson, of Moffat, Colo. He is survived by his loving wife, Deanya Bradley Bartlett; two sisters, Nancy Rutley (Peter) of Yarmouth Port, Mass., and Leslie Kaczowka (Henry) of Longwood, Fla.; a daughter, Veronica E. Bartlett of Littleton, Colo.; four stepdaughters, Shonda Ann Johnson (Gordon) of Moffat, Colo., Cecilia Jeanne Curtis (Glenn) of Evergreen, Colo., Sandra Dee Hayes of Crestone, Colo., and Shannon Lynn Zaun (Geoff) of Greenwood Village, Colo.; seven step grandchildren, Cresta Blocker (Ben) of Livermore, Colo., Bo Ward of Lakewood, Colo., Jack Hayes of Crestone, Colo., Kelly Curtis of Evergreen, Colo., Peter Bradley Zaun of Greenwood Village, Colo., and Kyle Curtis of Evergreen, Colo.; two step great-grandchildren, Alyssa Ginger of Moffat, Colo., and Vanessa Blocker of Livermore, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona located at 23029 North Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, Ariz.
