ST. PAUL, Minn. - Ron Siegmund, age 71, of St. Paul, Minn., and Sun City West, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Merkel Cell Carcinoma on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Frankie; his children, Richard, Beth, Ryan (Kim), Dana (Wayne), Steven; step-children, Gwen, Greg, Chris (Andrea); and seven grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Blake, Kylie, Te'a, Brady and Paige. In celebrating Ron's life, he will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend - his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. Ron was always ready to help his children and grandchildren and encouraged them in any endeavor they undertook. Ron treasured the many wonderful trips he was able to make with the love of his life. Arizona was his favorite place to escape to in the winter; many rounds of golf were played here. Ron was the consummate golfer, always ready for a game with friends and family and very eager to share his knowledge and his love for the game with others. Ron will be sorely missed by all who knew him, his love for life and his infectious laugh. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society, Health East Hospice Care (St. Paul, MN) or Donor's choice.
