Roland P. Malkowski

SUN CITY WEST - Roland P Malkowski passed away on June 13, 2016, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Roland was born on Aug. 15, 1925 in Two Rivers, Wis. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. Roland served in the US Navy during World War II (1943-46) on a Destroyer in the Pacific fleet. Following his service, he obtained a BA degree in Accounting. Roland worked for Nunn Bush Shoe Company in Milwaukee, Wis. and for Digital/Hewlett Packard in Albuquerque, N.M. In 1996, Roland and his wife, Carolyn moved to Sun City West, Ariz. to enjoy their retirement. He loved golfing, finance, watching sports and spending time with his family. Roland was also a N.M. State Fair award winning gardener with numerous blue ribbons for his home grown tomatoes. Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; and his son, David. He will be greatly missed by his two daughters and their spouses, 4 grandchildren and spouses, 7 great-grandchildren, and his loving westie; as well as many family and friends in Wis., N.M. and Ariz. A special thank you to all the angels at Moonlight Manor in Surprise, Ariz., who provided loving care and comfort for Roland during the last three years of his life. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27th at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City West, Ariz. He will be laid to rest at Sunland Cemetery with his beloved wife following the services. Donations can be made to the Michael J.
