NAPA, Calif. - Robert V. Harman passed away on Feb. 19, 2012, in Napa, Calif. He was born Jan. 12, 1916, to Robert Valentine Harman and Ethel Elizabeth Lewis Harman in Kansas City, Mo. He married his high school sweetheart, Florence Marguerite (Peggy) Walker Harman and joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent Accountant. After 36 years with the FBI, Bob retired to Sun City West, Ariz., and became an investigator for the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Bob and Peggy enjoyed 30 years in Sun City West playing tennis, golf, table tennis and dancing at the recreation centers and country club. In 2007 they moved to Napa to be close to their daughter. Bob continued to enjoy dancing, playing the piano, and watching football, particularly the Missouri Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Arizona Cardinals. He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Peggy Harman; their three children, Robert Lewis Harman of San Diego, William R Harman of Far Rockaway, N.Y., Carolyn Harman Peck (James) of Napa, Calif.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
