Road work affects weekend travel in Phoenix, Tempe, Buckeye

A stretch of westbound Interstate 10 near the Broadway Curve and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will be closed this weekend for bridge construction.

In the West Valley, westbound I-10 will be narrowed for road-widening work in Buckeye.

Arizona Department of Transportation officials said drivers should plan ahead, allow extra travel time and check alternate routes while traveling in these areas:
