Rising gas prices not impacting Tempe transit

The city's fleet runs on alternative fuel

Americans are feeling the pains of inflation and sanctions against Russia at gas pumps across the country. The same can be said for Tempe residents.

According to data from AAA, the national average for fuel on March 11 was $4.331. In Arizona, it was slightly higher at $4.583 on average. Just one week ago, it was a much lower $3.977. In the East Valley specifically, the average clocked in at $4.647.

Gas prices set an all-time high in Arizona on Monday and have only continued to rise.
