The Rio Institute for Senior Education gives adults the opportunity to continue learning without a gradebook.
Greg Peirera, Rio Salado College vice president of student affairs, and Michael Moore said effective July 1, RISE will be fully integrated with Rio Salado College, formally becoming a Rio Salado College Community Development Division program. This change will potentially expand virtual learning opportunities in Maricopa County. The program will focus on lifelong learning opportunities for adults, including residents in the Sun Cities.
Moore said RISE officials are getting ready to advertise for a director of senior education at Rio Salado.
