Arizona Corporation Commission approves EPCOR plan

Residents of the Rio Verde Foothills who rely on hauled water have a long-term solution to their water crisis.

The Arizona Corporation Commission voted unanimously during its Nov. 29 meeting to allow private utility EPCOR to build a standpipe to service the area in the long term.

The move was a relief to some homeowners in the area but the cause of consternation to others.
