Rio Salado College, MCCCD partner with national company for free tuition

Will educate mostly rural workforce

The Maricopa County Community College District has partnered with JBS Tolleson, an Arizona branch of JBS USA, to provide free tuition to its mostly rural workforce.

The national JBS USA Better Futures program will be available to all 1,741 Tolleson employees and their families and started locally this academic year at all 10 of the district’s community colleges. Additionally, Rio Salado College was chosen as Colorado-based JBS USA’s national online partner for its 66,000 employees across the country.

“We are proud to support JBS and their Better Futures tuition assistance program on both a local level through our 10 colleges and on a national level through Rio National,” said MCCCD Interim Chancellor Dr. Steven R. Gonzales in a statement announcing the partnership. ‘Whether an employee works at the JBS facility in Tolleson or at one of their more rural locations throughout the country, our district is equipped to help them learn, develop and grow as they work toward their future goals.”
