Rina’s journey began at Bishop Noll High School, where her education blossomed alongside her mirror twin sister, Dina Lee. This bond not only shaped their lives but defined Rina’s approach to her career. After graduating, Rina pursued her bachelor’s degree in Teaching at The College of St. Therese, further igniting her thirst for knowledge and her commitment to nurturing young minds.
Rina dedicated numerous years to Kenosha Unified Schools, where she touched the lives of countless children as a Second Grade Teacher. Her adoration for teaching was evident in everything she did. Also, one of her roles was head of the substitute Teacher organization in Kenosha, WI, prior to going back to teaching full time after having her son, Robert.
Outside of her professional life, Rina embraced her hobbies with enthusiasm. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed the comforting craft of cross stitch. Rina found great joy in classic cinema, particularly loving movies like the “Blues Brothers,” “Top Gun,” and “Rudy.” These interests painted a picture of a vibrant woman who understood the importance of balance and enjoyment in life.
Rina was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and was also associated with St. Joachim and St. Anne Catholic Parish in Sun City. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and instilling in her the values of kindness and community service.
Throughout her years, Rina proudly contributed to the Women’s Club of Kenosha, finding fulfillment in friendships and collective efforts to uplift her community. She was also a member of KCREA (Kenosha County Retired Educators Association), WREA (Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association), Alpha Delta Kappa, and Zeta Sisters.
Rina is survived by her son, Robert Andrea, and numerous nieces and nephews, who will continue to honor her legacy through their love and dedication to family and education. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 52 years, Louis Carmen Andrea, her twin sister, Dina Lee, and her parents, Earl and Antoinette Vinzani.
As we remember Rina Rae Andrea, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Her legacy of teaching, kindness, and community service will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
