This is not a city, it has no city hall, mayor or police department.

It is a retirement community and unincorporated but is part of county because of being residential classification. People still have a farmland mentality, like the Wild West!

It is also run by disability acts and state laws we must follow, county and CC&R rules. The power is mostly the rec centers (for sparkle) which is run by a group of people on the board. They mostly agree what to do with the money, which is on fun stuff, and have very little or no authority over the basic rules, which should be the foundation of this area.

You have two types of people that live here in SunCity West. The ones that sign CC&R rules at closing and agree to follow and those that read them, sign them and don’t care to follow them! That’s OK, but let everyone buying here have the understanding of this fact. This is called full transparency!

That’s where the trouble comes in — putting two types of people together. There will always be disagreements on things but what shows maturity is how we express our opinions. You are defined by how you express yourself and your word selections. This area and similar ones have the mentality of slug it out/shoot it out!

Lets do the right thing for the good people! Our government has shown us how to be divided! This is not good! Let’s do better!
