SUN CITY WEST - Richard "Jordan" Schmidt passed into heaven on August 21, 2016. He was born in Detroit, Mich. on April 27, 1944. He enlisted in the Navy SeaBees and served two tours in Vietnam from 1966-68. He met and married his wife, Pamela Antoinette "Toni" Kast in 1968. They had one daughter, Heather. They lived and worked in Arizona and Yucaipa, Calif., for most of his career. His interests included: his family, gardening, restoring automobiles, Harley Davidson motorcycles, road trips, restaurants, and home improvement. He is survived by his wife, Toni; daughter, Heather LaVictoire; granddaughters, Katharine and Samantha; and son-in-law, Lawrence. There will be a memorial service 10:30 a.m., September 9, 2016, at the Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 Camino Del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. Donations may be sent in his name to Hospice of the Valley www.hov.com.
