Richard (Rick) David Kunstmann

On Monday, February 24, 2025, Richard (Rick) David Kunstmann, devoted Husband and Father of three children, passed away at the age of 80. Rick was born on September 6, 1944 in Sheboygan, WI to David and Pauline (Adler) Kunstmann. At a very young age he moved with his family to Sydney, MT. He attended Ridgelawn Grade School and graduated from Sydney High School in 1964. After high school Rick enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served 4 years with his last year being in Vietnam. Upon his return he married the love of his life, Linda Tichenor, in 1968. They moved to Billings, MT where Rick attended Billings Business College, obtaining a degree in accounting. While in Billings, their sons Wade R. Kunstmann and Troy J. Kunstmann were born. In 1990, he welcomed daughter Yvonne Kennedy into the family. Eventually they settled in Newman Lake, WA. Rick retired from Parker Toyota in Couer d’Alene, ID after dedicating 21 years to the company. Rick and Linda spent 5 years as snowbirds traveling between Newman Lake and Arizona. In 2018 they moved permanently to Sun City West, AZ where they were living their best life, as best friends, golfing, bowling, and experiencing life to the fullest. Rick was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Randy, and brother Robbie. He is survived by his wife in Sun City West, sons Wade (Stephanie) in Woodlawn, TN, and Troy (Erika) of Arab, AL, and daughter Yvonne (Tom) of Tonasket, WA. Rick is also survived by his sister Carol Meitzel and brother Rockie as well as 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
