Richard Lewis, 77Sun City resident Richard Allen Lewis died April 27, 2008.Mr. Lewis was born May 10, 1930 in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, Pa., to Clifford and Ellen (Eisenhard) Lewis. He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. in Pennsylvania for many years as a crane operator and he also served in the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, N.J.He iand his wife of 41 years, Jean Ruth (Ayers) Lewis lived in Allentown for many years until they moved to Sun City in 2004. He loved western movies, especially John Wayne's, and enjoyed living in the West where his favorite movies were made. Healso enjoyed using the swimming pool near their home. His "trademark" was giving out dollar bills he folded to look like bow ties.He is survived by his wife; a son, Richard Wayne Lewis, Sr., of Allentown, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Nancy (Ayers) Kabe and her husband Robert of Sun City; two grandchildren, Richard Wayne (Kim Gilbert) Lewis, Jr., of Abingdon, Md., and Farrah (Donald) Wutcher of Emmaus, Pa.; two stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey (Mary Lou) Kabe of Glendale and Brian (Kathy) Kabe of Silverton, Ore.; and seven great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Brian, Tyler, Brittany, Candy, Chris and Kelsey.There was a private family gathering at the Kabe home.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hospice of Arizona - Plaza Del Rio, 1N.
