Richard Joseph Ringhofer, 79Richard Joseph (R.J.) Ringhofer, 79, of Apache Junction, formerly of Elmer, Minn., passed away Jan. 28, 2008. He died peacefully at home with his family, after returning to Minnesota from Arizona shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. He is survived by Elizabeth (Boots) Ringhofer of Meadowlands; son, Kevin (Kathy) of Minnetonka; and daughters, Lyn Miskovich of Champlin; Vicki (Jody) Weinkauf of Columbia Heights; Lisa (Dan) Muenkel of Rochester; Mary Jo (Brian) Cress of Mahtomedi; eight grandchildren: Kate, Zach, Kristen, Kerrian, Kenzie, Nathan, Conner and Tori, to whom is affectionately known as "Pa"; brothers Peter, Phil and Louie; and sisters Josephine, Ann and Donna. He was also known and loved by many special friends in Minnesota and Arizona. He is preceded in death by his son, Kerry (Toon); parents Alois and Josephine; and three sisters, Irene, Adelle and Margaret. Christian memorial services were previously held.In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials, which will be donated to his favorite charities.
