Richard Hirsch Burnett, 83Richard Hirsch Burnett, 83, of Sun City West, died Dec. 15, 2006. He was a former insurance executive in Seattle, Wash. The devoted father of four children - James, Laurie, Robert and Susan - Richard, know as "Dick" by his many friends, is also survived by his wife, Nancy, and sister, Barbara Kleiner. He grew up in the Mount Baker area, graduated from Franklin High School, and attended the University of Washington. He served as an Army radio specialist in Alaska during World War II. A highlight of his retirement in Sun City West was his appearance in the 1998 movie, "Free Enterprise," directed and co-written by his son, Robert. His performance as "Dick the Bartender" impressed many of the crew and cast members, which included William Shatner and Eric McCormack, as the work of a veteran actor, although it was, in fact, his screen debut. Remembrances can be made to the Children's Home Society in Seattle.
