Ribbons Tea House to close storefront after 11 years in Litchfield Park

Ribbons Tea House, a Litchfield Park staple known for its scratch-made boba, custom coffee recipes and deep community roots, will officially close its storefront on Saturday, May 30.

The closure marks the end of an 11-year run for the family-owned business, which has served as a second home for local youth and stands as the second-oldest establishment on the block.

The decision to close follows a two-year lease dispute with the property's landlord said co-owner Joel Mounce. Rather than exercising a final five-year lease option to stay, Mounce and his family said they decided to exit the brick-and-mortar space to protect their well-being and look forward to retirement, while passing the brand's mobile future to their daughters.
