Music

Rhythm paces 17-year-old Tempe student

Angel Lee has music in his veins.

Lee, a member of the Salt River Indian Reservation, doesn’t just bob his head to the occasional tune. Instead, the 17-year-old Scottsdale resident uses it as therapy and a way to calm down and can bury himself in his latest hip-hop or trap beat.

“(I’ve) always like listening to music,” Lee said. “It’s a way to stay out of trouble (by) making music.”
