APACHE JUNCTION - Reuel Leonard Ferrin, of Apache Junction, passed away at his home on the evening of Jan. 9, 2011. Leonard was born on December 11, 1908, in Cherokee County, Iowa. He has lived in Iowa, California, Montana, Colorado, and retired to Arizona 39 years ago. He was a mechanic on heavy equipment and welder all his life. Leonard enjoyed his family, fishing, square dancing, horse shoe pitching, and card playing. Leonard is survived by his wife of 77 years; one son; one daughter; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. There was no service held as were the wishes of Leonard.
