Already with three Valley locations, local market Retail Therapy AZ is opening a fourth site, this time in Phoenix.
Established in 2021, Retail Therapy AZ supports local makers as the home of 210 small business owners throughout Arizona. Stores offer private art classes such as painting, jewelry and candle making, and host several pop-up markets throughout the Valley.
The West Building inside the Phoenix Convention Center & Venues downtown will now host handcrafted, artisan souvenirs from local Phoenix makers.
The shop is expected to open by January.
Retail Therapy AZ has two locations in Glendale: in Downtown Glendale at 5719 W Glendale Ave., and at Westgate, 6770 N. Sunrise Blvd., Suite G-127. There’s also a location at Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback Road, Suite 2113.
“We began our business in 2021 as a mobile clothing boutique, vending at local pop-up events and we found that we weren’t passionate about the clothing, but really we were excited about all the connections we were making with other local businesses,” Retail Therapy AZ co-owner Erica Jerido shared in a press release. “We then started coordinating community markets throughout the Valley, but we had the dream that one day we would have a storefront where all the small businesses we loved could have a permanent space to sell their products.”
The new location will offer products from 80 local businesses and feature space for classes or team building.
