Restrictions to Adamsville Road in Florence will last until June

Posted

The town of Florence is advising drivers to plan for traffic restrictions on Adamsville Road as a repaving project begins on Wednesday, May 17 that will last until early June.

Repaving will take place on the westbound lane of Adamsville Road from Plant Road to the east end of Bisbee Ranch, and the northbound lane of Plant Road from Adamsville just south of Butte Avenue.

The repaving is related to the new Bisbee Ranch Development.

While there will be no hard closures, there will be one-way traffic along these sections of Adamsville and Plant roads for approximately three weeks once the project begins.

Tim Payne with Knochel Brothers, which is working on the project, said it's hoped that the repavement will end on Wednesday, June 7 with traffic open in all directions by Friday, June 9.

"Traffic will have access both directions, Payne said. "We will still have other work to do like adjustments and striping that needs to be completed. Traffic control will be up until this work is done but it will not affect travel in either direction."

For questions, contact Payne at 602-694-2738 or Florence Streets Superintendent Dan Cisco at 520-868-7642.
