Restrictions but no closures this weekend on Valley freeways: ADOT

PHOENIX – No full freeway closures for improvement work are scheduled in the Valley this weekend, but a section of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale will shut down to traffic, state transportation officials said.

Here is the Arizona Department of Transportation’s work schedule from Friday night, July 18, until Monday morning, July 21:

  • Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes in both directions between 35th and 59st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday for a widening project.

PHOENIX – No full freeway closures for improvement work are scheduled in the Valley this weekend, but a section of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale will shut down to traffic, state transportation officials said.

Here is the Arizona Department of Transportation’s work schedule from Friday night, July 18, until Monday morning, July 21:

  • Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes in both directions between 35th and 59st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday for a widening project.

51st Avenue will be closed in both directions near Loop 101 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work. The westbound Loop 101 frontage road also will be closed between 35th and 51st avenues.

  • The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Price Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday for a widening project.

ADOT officials said drivers should consider using the eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Alma School Road.

  • Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work as part of a widening project.

Traffic can use detours along the Loop 101 frontage roads between Raintree Drive and Bell Road. Note: The northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Raintree Drive is scheduled to close for two months starting at 11:45 p.m. Sunday for reconstruction.
