Residents give back during the 2022 Holiday Season

Posted

Residents of the Rancho Sahuarita master planned community come together each year to raise money and collect donations for local non-profit organizations, such as Toys for Tots, the Sahuarita Food Bank, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Jeremy Sharpe, Managing Partner of Rancho Sahuarita says, “The comradery and giving spirit of the Rancho Sahuarita community never ceases to amaze me.” Sharpe continues, “The generous nature of our residents creates an atmosphere that is beneficial for the entire community.”

Rancho Sahuarita residents participated in a Toys for Tots toy drive at the Brunch with Santa community event, which this year resulted in the donation of over 100 new toys. The toys were distributed to children throughout southern Arizona for Christmas.

Another charitable event that Rancho Sahuarita hosted was the annual Holiday Spectacular, where attendees brought donations of non-perishable food items for the Sahuarita Food Bank, and over 100 lbs of food were collected from this event alone.

Similarly, residents of Rancho Resort, an active-adult community located within the master plan, together raised $7,600 for the Sahuarita Food Bank through monetary donations during the month of December.

The Vets Club also helped collect donations of 160 new toys for their Toys for Tots drive. The Sassy Sewers, one of the Rancho Resort resident clubs, also made and donated 6 crocheted outfits for premature babies, 4 crocheted baby blankets, 12 quilts (adult and child-sized), and 14 baby and toddler-sized blankets to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
