Pickleball continues to be in high demand in Sun City, as several residents told the Recreation Centers of Sun City Inc. board on Monday they wanted more courts.
Indoor pickleball courts are one of the activities listed as under consideration by the Strategic Alternatives Committee for the Mountain View Recreation Center. The board created the committee to examine possible ways to make improvements at the facility. A cost estimate study is currently underway.
“Data shows we need more pickleball courts, but I’m not convinced this SAC” is going to “come up with a solution to give us the number of courts that are needed for the Sun City community,” said resident Dan Haberman, who was one of several who spoke during the Member Exchange meeting.
