A resident petition has been submitted to the Scottsdale City Council, along with the formation of a new political action committee, seeking to change the city to a district-style voting system.
The petition, submitted by city volunteer and longtime resident Teresa Kim Quales, was entered shortly after she met with Mayor David Ortega.
Ortega told the Independent he’s been talking to many people across the city about this idea, and is confident it will be taken seriously at an upcoming study session where the City Council will discuss it further.
