Everyone living in the northwest Valley near Grand Avenue, which includes most of the senior communities plus all of the new homes in the Asante area and all the way north, should be concerned about the massively swift development happening.
Homebuilders in Asante, Wittmann and north of there need to be concerned for any future sales and development. New potential buyers do not want to live near a possible endless stream of trains and cargo hauls that will change the quality of life out here.
Forget about gorgeous sunsets and endless blue skies. I passed by the Loop 303 and Grand around 4:30 in the afternoon recently and was shocked to see the heavy traffic trying to go north up to Asante off of Grand at that hour.
We already have a problem with heavy car traffic north on Grand now. What is going to happen when more trains start coming through?
It’s hard enough that folks are paying a fortune for newer housing, but it will mean nothing if the area implodes with overdevelopment of every kind, including large technology companies, more warehouses, and now more trains and cargo hauls.
People of the northwest Valley, and all over town, need to start speaking up and being concerned about the tearing up of our natural desert beauty.
Billionaire developers who want to make a fortune in our state need to prove to us what they’re doing, and how it really benefits families, retirees and anyone trying to live with some quality of life, peace and beauty.
Someone has a lot of explaining to do, and we need some answers with some real-world benefit. Good citizens, please be aware of what is happening around you.
