Report: Total per student spending up from last year at Peoria Unified

Total per student spending went up about 6.5% at Peoria Unified School District, increasing from $10,660 in fiscal year 2022 to $11,349 in fiscal year 2023, according to a new report from the Arizona Auditor General.

This amounted to nearly 73% of district spending going into the classroom.

In this annual report, the auditor general defines total per student spending as operational and nonoperational spending divided by students attending.
