Report: TSMC to help find successor for Intel chip manufacturing

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. is in discussions with chipmakers Nvidia and AMD to help decide if those companies will run Intel’s chip manufacturing business, according to a report from Reuters.

Reuters reported on March 3 that Santa Clara, California-based Nvidia, which has been heavily involved in designing hardware and chips for artificial intelligence applications, and Broadcom are running manufacturing tests with Intel, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
